Hackney Half and Hackney 5.5K Sporters will receive race packs in the post about two weeks before the event. Did your friend receive their racepack and you're still waiting? Fear not, we'll be mailing packs through 24 April.
Occasionally, one in 20,000 packs grows some legs and runs in the wrong direction. If you haven’t received your race pack by Friday 28th April, then you will need to collect a new one in person.
You can do this either on Saturday 29th between 12:00pm and 4:00pm, or on Sunday 30th April from 07:30am onwards from our help desk, which will be located in the festival village in the Hackney Marshes, E9 5P.
Go Fit Yourself Sporters must be 13 or older. Chase your Mate 5.5k Sporters must be 15 or older. Hackney Half Sporters must be 17 or older.
Participants under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older who will be responsible for their supervision during the relevant activities. Unfortunately, our legal eagles won’t let us deviate from this one.
Yes! There is a special ticket for you challenge hungry Sporters. It’s called the Hackney all in pass. This includes the Hackney Half, the Chase your Mate 5.5km, and a ‘Go Fit Yourself’ class. You go Sporter.
Its super simple – add a pass to your basket and at checkout, select if you’re purchasing for yourself or a mate.
If you’re buying for a mate, add their details into the registration form. After you’ve paid, they’ll get an email telling them how lucky they are! Once your mate receives the email, they need to click on the link to claim it.
Get your passes now before they’re snapped up. We won’t have Hackney Half, 5.5K, or Fit Front Row places available on the day.
Fear not Sporter, your online profile stores everything for you. Log in to your profile on the Virgin Sport website and then check out your upcoming passes and receipts by clicking into your ‘account details’ and then ‘purchase history’.
Registration for the Hackney Half officially closes on 19 April 2017. The last day to sign up for the 5.5K and Fit Front Row upgrade is 28 April 2017. Registration is limited however, and it’s possible entries will sell out before the official closing dates.
You can change your address in your Virgin Sport profile at anytime. If you registered for the Hackney Half or Chase your Mate 5.5k, a race pack will be mailed to the address in your profile three weeks before the event. Didn't get your pack? No problem, we'll hook you up with a new pack at our festival helpdesk.

We love free fitness and champion it all year round. We like to keep life red hot and spicy so ‘Go Fit Yourself’ fitness sessions at the Hackney festival will be free for everyone to take part in.
Well, yes and no. This year, it's better than ever with a whole festival of sport, finishing up on the marshes, with yoga, fitness classes, a 5.5k and more...
The half marathon route is flat, fast and fun… the best for smashing personal records. The course profile will be added to the Virgin Sport website shortly.
We’re about the good times not just the fast times. Each runners has 3:30 hours to complete the Hackney Half. This cut-off time means we can open roads on schedule to keep the rest of Hackney moving too.
Yes, it is. We’ve had the good guys from UK Athletics down with their rulers to confirm the exact distance.
