Hackney Half Marathon

30 Apr

Run 13.1 miles through roaring crowds and take in the Hackney Downs, Hackney Empire, Broadway Market, Victoria Park, and the London Stadium. With free race photos, premium SWAG, free yoga, free bootcamp and music on the Marshes, it will be lights, camera, action.

Hackney 5.5K

30 Apr

If a half-marathon is just a few miles too long, we like short and sweet too. Inspired by Hackney's streets, this 5k is anything but ordinary. We know you give 110% to everything you do in life, so here's 10% more. We'll make sure you have a 5k time and extra credit for the victory lap. We think the best way to play is to sign up together, so chase, pace or race your mates. You can sign up friends or as a team as part of the check-out process. Five point five with free yoga and bootcamp? Bring it on.

HACKNEY MOVES

We love all things Hackney. Hackney Moves tells Sporting stories of the borough

WORKING TOGETHER

Virgin Sport is thrilled to be working alongside Hackney Council to encourage local residents and visitors to move through sport. With the signature half marathon headlining Virgin Sport Hackney, we're excited to deliver a new experience to everyone within the borough while showing off the unique sites and sounds of Hackney to sporters and spectathletes participating in the event.

"I've heard lots of stories of people who've been inspired to take up running as a result of seeing all of the runners take to the street for the Hackney Half; it's an atmosphere like no other."

-Councillor Jonathan McShane
