In efforts to improve our sustainability and reduce waste, we've given runners the option to collect a race pack ahead of the half marathon from our Festival Village in Hackney Marshes. Dates of collection will be Friday 17th and Saturday 18th May.
We do understand this isn't always possible, so we can still post a race pack if need be, but the runner will need to purchase this when registering.
Race packs contain:
- A race bib with a unique runners number and a chip which records the runner's time.
- Safety pins to attach the bib to the runner's vest or t-shirt.
After registration, we are unable to post any race packs which were previously chosen to be collected. If you can't make it to the Festival Village before the race, you can have someone collect it for you.
The person collecting does not need to be participating in the race. They may pick up race materials for a maximum of three registered runners.
Please note, the person collecting the race pack on behalf of the runner(s) must have:
- A copy, screenshot or photo of the registered runner passport/driving license
- An email or printed copy of the registered runners confirmation email (which should have been emailed to the runner when they registered).
Without these documents we will be unable to provide a race pack to the person collecting.
You have 3 hours and 30 minutes to walk, jog, race, prance, skip or dance through the course and cross the finish line.
For safety reasons, we suggest free ears to stay alert and aware of your surroundings and other runners. This way you can also soak up the energy and atmosphere and unplug!

If you'd like to purchase 10 or more places for a group, please put a request through our Group Sales application form and we'll be in touch. Please note, non-charity group places must be purchased via credit card. Purchasing general entry tickets through group sales does not register you into the Team Challenge.
For more information on our Team Challenge Plus Perks or on creating or joining a Crew, please see the below FAQs.
HOW IT WORKS:
After you've purchased a ticket, you will see an option to set up a crew - this makes you Captain!
When creating crew, you can choose to make it public or private. If the crew is private you will need to set a password and share that password with anyone who you’d like to join your group. After you’ve created a crew, you’ll see: a newsfeed with a timeline of when team members join your crew, a ‘Captain’s View’ which displays a list of crew members, and a ‘Get in Touch’ tab which allows you to email all crew members.
If you're joining an existing crew, you can do so on the ticket in your profile after you’ve registered for the event. Just click on the ‘Join a Crew’ tab and search for your group name - if your crew is private, you’ll need to enter the password which was created by your captain. Once you've joined, you'll see a timeline of who joins your crew and a 'Get in Touch' tab to email your captain!
We have many Charity Partners for our Hackney Half 2019, you can find these on the Charities page on our website.
Can't find the charity you're looking for? Let us know and we can invite them to join.
