The Weetabix Protein Youth Challenge is a brand new running initiative. Children aged 7-14 can join the festivities of the ASICS London 10K and achieve their first major running goal.
Each runner completes as many kilometres as they can in the weeks before race day on 5 July 2020. They will then join fellow challengers to complete the last distance in front of the cheering crowds at the finish line, or participate virtually.
WHAT IS IT?
The Weetabix Protein Youth Challenge is a new youth running initiative brought to you by Virgin Sport in partnership with Weetabix.
Participants in the Weetabix Protein Youth Challenge will complete a multi-week training plan and record their distances each week. On Sunday 5 July 2020, children will run their final 1.8 kilometres, crossing the finish line at the iconic ASICS London 10K. Children can also participate virtually.
PARENTS AND GUARDIANS
Registration for all participants must be completed by a parent or guardian. Children aged 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for them throughout the race. Children aged 12-14 may run unaccompanied, at the discretion of their parent/guardian.
All challengers will receive a digital record card to track training runs. For challengers taking part in-person, you will receive a pack in the post which contains race day instructions, your race number and an ASICS t-shirt. We'll be in touch closer to Race Day with details on how virtual participants can submit their record card to earn their race day rewards.
All children and participating adults must be wearing their official race t-shirt, with their race number bib attached to the front.
FINISH LINE SWAG
All participants will receive an official Weetabix Protein ASICS t-shirt and a medal. For challengers taking part virtually, you will receive your t-shirt and medal in the post after race day.
