Oxford Half

13 Oct 2019

Getting to the Start

There will be thousands of runners, fans and supporters heading to Oxford on Sunday 13th October for the Oxford Half. We strongly recommend that all runners arrive AT LEAST ONE HOUR before the race starts at 09.30.

Remember, there will be a number of road closures and diversions in place from 07:00.  Please factor these into your travel plans (and those of any of your supporters, family and friends).

Scroll down for more information on how to get to the Race Village on Oxford University Parks.

By Car / Park & Ride

If you are planning on driving to the event, we strongly recommend you use the Park & Ride services operating from 06:30 at the Pear Tree, Redbridge, Thornhill and Seacourt sites. Purchase tickets in advance to avoid queues on the day.

Oxford Tube

The Oxford Tube will be running 3 additional services all departing London Victoria at 6:25am and arriving into Oxford Gloucester Green Bus Station at 8:03am. These are likely to be busy and may reach capacity meaning a wait for subsequent services. To minimise your chances of missing a spot on a bus, we suggest you arrive early and to board at Victoria Station.

Please note: purchasing a ticket in advance for the Oxford Tube doesn't guarantee a seat on a specific service if that bus is then full. For further information please visit www.oxfordtube.com.

Cycling

A limited amount of event-specific bike racking will be available on Parks Road, outside the gated entrance to the Race Village. There are also plenty of bike parking facilities available in Oxford City Centre, which should be used if you plan to cycle to the event. In all cases, we recommend you lock your bike to the racking. Bikes are left at the owner’s risk and should only be left in designated areas. Please note that bike racking facilities in Broad Street will not be available on race day.
